The first in a series of artist/writer networking events is being held in Edinburgh on St Andrew’s Day.

At Graphic Scotland, we’re all about the facilitation and creation of great stories and great art.  We want to help people to form partnerships and make brilliant new comics.

So we’re holding an event with plenty of cake for writers and artists who are looking for collaborators, and want to talk to other people about their ideas.

The diversity of art forms which make up comic-making calls for a cross-disciplinary approach to networking (hideous word, I know. Sorry).  We’re really very excited to see what happens when we put writers and artists in a room together with wine.

Comic Creators… provides a unique opportunity for artists from various backgrounds and writers to meet in a relaxed fashion to exchange ideas and banter. You might meet a creator you like. You might meet a genius. You’ll certainly meet us – feel free to come down just to chat to us about what Graphic Scotland are doing.

We’re planning a series of Comic Creators events in various locations around Scotland.  In case you can’t make it to Edinburgh this time, an event near you is coming soon.

Comic Creators and Cake is on 30 November 2011 at Pulp Fiction in West Port. We’re sold out but we do have a waiting list, which we’ll put you on if you email us at info@graphicscotland.co.uk
