Lighthouse Late

Lighthouse Late is a late night event on 24 October which will feature design, music, film and more staged across the five floors of the Lighthouse.

Featuring well-known designers Ken Garland, Tony Brook and Jonathan Barnbrook, the evening offers a view into the minds of some of of Britain’s most-talented creatives.

Enjoy a selection of short films commissioned by Glasgow Film or check out a series of short films around urbanography from METASITU. If you haven’t seen Stuart Murdoch’s God Help the Girl, the evening presents a chance to see it on the big screen. Are you more of a hands-on kind of creative? Try a risograph print workshop from Gabriella Marcella of Risotto, or take part in illustrator Alice Dansey-Wright’s workshop and contribute to the commemorative Lighthouse Latework “Legitimate Likenesses.” Finally, investigate the world of digital fabrication with MAKLab 3D printing demonstrations.

There will be live DJ sets from Scott Paterson of Sons and Daughters and Joe Rattary from Admiral Fallow and performances from Glasgow based singer and performer Ella the Bird and Scottish folk singer and songwriter James Yorkston.

Lighthouse Late runs on the evening of 24 October. For more information see the Lighthouse’s website here.
