<p><a href="http://www.lgbthistory.org.uk/" target="_blank">LGBT History Month</a> takes place every February and is a celebration of the diversity and achievements of the LGBT community.</p>
<p>LGBT History Month is for everyone: individuals, community groups, organisations, service providers, LGBT and non-LGBT people alike.</p>
<p><strong>Below are a selection of events and exhibitions:</strong></p>
<p><strong>4 &#8211; 16 February</strong> | East Kilbride Arts Centre<br />
<a href=" http://www.lgbthistory.org.uk/events/the-queer-window-project-lucy-holmes-elliott/" target="_blank"> The Queer Window Project: Lucy Holmes-Elliott</a><br />
Lucy Holmes-Elliott is a Glasgow based artist and filmmaker. Her most recent work, The Queer Window Project was commissioned by LGBT History Month in 2013. The Queer Window Project is a series of fifteen large-scale portrait illustrations and thirty photographs depicting members of the Scottish queer scene.</p>
<p><strong>6 February</strong> | Creative Scotland, Edinburgh<br />
<a href="http://www.lgbthistory.org.uk/events/creative-scotland-insights-ideas/" target="_blank">Creative Scotland: Insights &amp; Ideas</a><br />
This café-style discussion session will focus on LGBT themes, offering an opportunity to hear from interesting speakers, discuss topics and network with people working in the cultural sector.</p>
<p><strong>14 February</strong> | CCA, Glasgow<br />
<a href=" http://www.lgbthistory.org.uk/events/notes-from-underground-queer-russian-cinema/" target="_blank"> Notes From Underground: Queer Russian Cinema</a><br />
A Glasgow Short Film Festival presentation in collaboration with Edinburgh Film Guild New Cinema, present recent Russian films depicting the surprising facets of an emerging LGBT culture, proving decidedly that the attempts at its repression have yet to defeat it.</p>
