Why we like it:
Abandoned Edinburgh is a photoblog which seems to simultaneously mourn and mock unwanted, inanimate objects. We may be reading too much into it all here, but Roland Barthes’ Camera Lucida came to mind when we found this blog. Barthes saw every photograph as a memorial; a way of capturing death-in-life.
