Organ2/ASLSP is a musical performance of the longest musical piece in the world in Halberstadt, Germany. The piece is played by the first large organ ever built, which was assembled in Halberstadt in 1361.

Organ2/ASLSP was composed by John Cage with the instructions to play it ‘as slowly as possible.’ The piece, which started playing in 2000 will take approximately 639 years to play. The progress towards the year 2640 is documented on the project’s website which counts down the remaining seconds until the piece finishes playing.
