Peter Gillies is a Glasgow based artist who works with stained glass. Having worked on large projects, such as restoration in churches around Scotland, Peter has now set up his own studio so he can focus on his art. We think this is a great idea because his work on Behance is incredibly impressive.

One observation we’ve made about the work by Auckland based graphic designer and illustrator, Jeremy Kyle, is that ‘the face’ often plays a starring role. Another is that he works with it beautifully.

This project on Behance demonstrates Jeremy’s process of creating the EP cover & packaging for Wellington ensemble, The Esther Melody Band.

49/50: Matt Saunders

Matt Saunders (aka rabbitportal) is a freelance illustrator/director/animator/editor currently based in Leeds.

Last year, Matt was selected by New Era caps to customise one of their hats. Using a few thousand match sticks this is what he produced. Here’s a film of the hat’s creation:

The piece is currently on tour, heading to Cape Town in February and Dubai in the future.
