<p>The digital realm is so bombarded with images that the original photograph has perhaps lost its initial charm and distinction. Consider the sheer amount of photographs discarded in family albums, personal archives and simply thrown out. <a href="http://www.thephotofosteringproject.org/" target="_blank">The Photo Fostering Project</a> aims to look after these photographs which have lost their place in this world.</p>
<p>All photographs that come through the project are scanned at high resolution and are free to use under Creative Commons licence. You can also re-home a physical photograph for just £1 with free postage.
