The Glasgow Open House Art Festival is a ten day festival running from 11- 21 April. The Festival aims to release art from its traditional places of exhibition, instead displaying the art in spaces that are more immediate to everyday living. Homes, gardens, sheds and more will become spaces in which to enjoy music, performance, workshops and symposiums alongside visual art. With over 70 participants in 36 venues throughout Glasgow, the festival aims to find new ways for visitors to engage with moving image and new media.
Some of the events include portrait paintings by James Sayer, an electronic workshop, Romantic Possibilities in Modern Flats by Andrew Black, Bradley Davies, Dan Hays, Paul Housley & Nick Thomas, and the opportunity to collaborate with Undercurrents magazine to create images and words for a forthcoming publication.
The Open House Art Festival runs from 11 – 21 of April at various venues throughout Glasgow. For more details about the programme, see the festival website.
Maps and programmes will be available from Mono from 1 April.
