Throughout May we ran a survey on the site to find out how many people have bought artwork at a degree show. The response was great and produced some interesting results. It was really close and in the end, 55% of people had bought work from a degree show and 45% hadn’t.
Central Station member Austin Yuill is a big supporter of graduate work and commented on our Facebook “I’m the chef at Glasgow School of Art and have bought something out of each of the last 6 degree shows I have been to (worked here for 7 years). I buy quite a lot here.”
We would love to hear your opinions on the subject. If you have never bought work – is there a specific reason why not? If you have, then leave a comment or photo telling us about your purchase and what it means to you.
If you’ve not had a read of our other Degree show blogs and reviews, here’s one check out.
