IETM (International Network for Performing Arts) and Central Station have teamed up to offer one lucky member the opportunity to showcase visual artwork during this year’s Autumn Plenary meeting in Glasgow. Congratulations to Leigh Chorlton (website here) who caught our collective eye with his disconcerting collection of work around the theme of retro-culture.
Leigh was picked from an exceptionally strong field. It wasn’t an easy choice. Thanks to all who showed an interest. Particularly Pennywrite and distorted.time who only just missed out.
Leigh will be exhibiting his work at the hairdresser’s space opposite Stereo on Renfield Lane in Glasgow between Thursday 4th November and Sunday 7th November. Stay tuned for details of the preview!
IETM (www.ietm.org) is Europe’s most significant membership organisation of its kind and 2010 marks the 20th anniversary of Glasgow’s year as City of Culture. Under the theme of ‘Voices’, the programmes will embrace the entire city, its people and its culture. Many performances can be booked through venue box offices and the remainder will be bookable through the Centre for Contemporary Arts box office.
