NVA announce the WHITE BIKE RIDE IN; to take place on the last weekend of the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2010. We ask anyone using the white bikes to bring them down to the Hub at 54 Miller Street on Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd May.
If you spot a white bike and can’t return it to the Hub yourself, please let us know its location by emailing whitebikesproduction@nva.org.uk or calling 07501 843618, and we will go and collect the bike. Twitter tweeters please remember to use #whitebikes on your posts.
We have a register of local organisations and groups who would benefit from the donation of bikes, giving them life beyond the festival. We would like your nominations of anyone you feel would appreciate such a donation. Send contact details to whitebikes@nva.org.uk. Only if we have bikes can we pass them on so it is essential that they are returned for the end of the festival!
NVA’s Mass Ride Out and re-enactment of the Provo Witte Fietsenplan launched the GI Festival in George Square on April 15th. Central Station has compiled a crowd-sourced film.

Crime and Punishment
Although NVA does not subscribe to a particular religious system, we ask anyone seeking to turn public property into private property to research the concept of karmic retribution, so that they can make an informed choice before any such act of theft.
Remember ‘a bike is something, but almost nothing!’
