“The Poetry Club is a hub for art, music, performance, spoken word and billows of smoke.”
The Poetry Club is a Glasgow based artwork and event space housed in the SWG3. Founded by artist Jim Lambie in 2012, The Poetry Club hosts all manner of events from poetry and music to exhibitions. This April during the 2014 Glasgow International Festival of Art, they will launch their first printed magazine and are currently seeking poetry, writing, photography and visual art submissions.
In addition, the Poetry Club is looking for a Poet in Residence. Lasting for three months, the residency will offer access to The Poetry Club’s blog and twitter account. The Poet in Residence will also have access to The Poetry Club to produce work and organise events and readings. The resulting work will appear in Volume I of the new magazine.
