ArtMaps is an interactive initiative by Tate to locate their artworks on a map. With a collection of over 70,000 works, they’ve enlisted the public to help find locations all over the world. Some of the 23,000 works tagged so far feature precise locations while others exist only in myths. Tate will soon be running challenges around particular artists and areas. In the meantime, the map can also be used to find works of art by a specific artist or by city.
