DIY Art School

What:
DIY Art School (DIYAS) is a platform for recent graduates and emerging artists to critique and develop their work. Its framework is in a constant state of flux depending on what graduates need and want from the network. They are based at the Lionel Dobie Project (LDP) in Manchester.

Why we like it:
Describing themselves as a ‘collaborative support group for artists and makers,’ we can’t help but admire DIYAS’ positive ethos and pro-active approach at creating the opportunities they want. For instance, they’ve recently setup an exchange with artists from Rennes, France allowing them to engage with and learn from each others’ cultural diversities.
