ELCAF 2012, the first East London Comics and Arts Festival will take place this year on the 17th of June at The Village Underground in London’s Shoreditch. The first edition of the festival will aim to showcase the plethora of youthful talent in the comics and graphic art scene in London and the UK and also to bring something fresh to locals by drawing talent from abroad to take part in the event, inviting exciting new collectives and publishers from Europe and the wider World.
Submissions are now open*. If you would like to take part in this historic first year of what is surely to become one of the graphic art/comics scene’s biggest yearly events fill in the form here and the good folk at the festival will get back to you after all submissions have been considered.
The event is both uniquely placed in the creative heart of London and at the time of year when London is teeming with young talent from the degree show season; if you add to that the passing Sunday trade from Spittalfields and Brick Lane, you have an unmissable opportunity to market and sell your products and publications to a uniquely expert and eager audience.
