REPOSE STILL #8 by FortSunlight.

“A still from ‘repose’ my animation collaboration with sculptor Michael Visocchi which was commissioned and exhibited at the Dick Institute in Kilmarnock.  The film was commissioned as part of the year of homecoming, marking 250 years since the birth of Robert Burns.

In the film rooks and crows (creatures which often appear in Burns’ work) are used as a device to explore our perception of the bard. Strange fragmented landscapes allude to his relationship to the natural world and the explosion of scientific thought during his lifetime.”
