Cake Magazine submission by Martin Senyszak, Visual Communication graduate and photographer based in London.

“I was asked to design and curate an issue of Cake, a Scottish art magazine. My issue was to be a purely photographic one, for which I asked a wide range of people to contribute: from some of my favourite photographers, to local artists whose work fitted well. I asked everyone to react to the theme “Lumière”, which translates as light. Obviously essential to the photo-making process, and also the surname of the family instrumental in its and cinemas’ beginnings. I also created a set of wooden letters for the cover photo, which were left around the city to advertise the magazine.”
